Ahsan Iqbal stresses education reforms and national unity as pillars for progress
Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming the education sector during his address at the Narowal Educational Conference 2024 on Saturday. He underscored that education and research are the backbone of national progress and essential for sustainable development.
Speaking at the event, Iqbal highlighted the role of the University of Narowal as a cornerstone for advancing education in the region. He added that the government is actively creating employment opportunities for the youth by equipping them with education and essential skills.

The minister also called for unity and the elimination of hatred, stressing that fostering harmony is more critical than ever. He expressed concern over the younger generation being taught to turn differences into enmity, which he deemed deeply regrettable.
Iqbal took a swipe at the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), labeling them as incompetent and accusing them of mismanaging the country. He pointed out the dangers of misinformation and fake news, particularly on social media, which he said is misleading the youth and posing a significant threat to societal cohesion.
