FIA arrests three in Sindh over MDCAT paper leak scandal
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle has apprehended three individuals in Sindh for their alleged involvement in leaking MDCAT exam papers. The suspects, identified as Shiraz Bilal, Tariq Aziz Samo, and Shan Durrani, were reportedly part of a network that facilitated the leak in exchange for money.
During the investigation, FIA officials found incriminating evidence on the suspects’ mobile devices, including screenshots of leaked exam papers shared with candidates. The suspects are believed to have played a significant role in leaking papers for the MDCAT exams in both 2023 and 2024.

The inquiry has revealed links to a broader network involved in exam fraud. Authorities have registered a case naming 15 individuals, including university officials and test organizers, as co-accused. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend additional members of the group.
The FIA has intensified its operations against those implicated in the case, aiming to dismantle the network and ensure accountability. The arrests highlight the agency’s determination to curb corruption in the education sector and maintain the integrity of national examinations.
The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover the full extent of the scandal.
