Golden Globes 2025: Complete list of winners

The 82nd Golden Globes lit up Los Angeles with glitz, glamour, and memorable moments on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Held at the iconic Beverly Hilton Hotel, the star-studded event was hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, who kept the audience entertained throughout the evening.

French film Emilia Pérez and Japanese drama series Shōgun dominated the night, each taking home multiple awards, solidifying their status as standout productions of the year.

The Japanese historical drama Shōgun emerged as a major winner of the night, sweeping all categories it was nominated for. The series was crowned Best Television Series – Drama, while lead actress Anna Sawai and supporting actor Hiroyuki Sanada both took home awards for their powerful performances.

Tadanobu Asano also earned a win for Best Supporting Male Actor on Television, completing Shōgun’s clean sweep and marking a historic moment for the show.

French film Emilia Pérez was another standout, taking home several major awards, including Best Film – Musical or Comedy and Best Film – Non-English Language. Jacques Audiard, the film’s director, was nominated in multiple categories and was praised for his creative vision.

Zoe Saldaña also secured a win for Best Supporting Female Actor in a Film for her role in Emilia Pérez, while the movie’s original song El Mal won Best Original Song – Film, adding to its impressive haul.

The ceremony saw several first-time winners, including Hollywood veteran Demi Moore, who won Best Female Actor in a Film – Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance. Her win was celebrated as a long-overdue recognition of her talent.

Actor Kieran Culkin, known for his sharp performances, claimed his first Golden Globe for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Film for his work in A Real Pain. Meanwhile, Jodie Foster took home the Best Female Actor in a Television Limited Series award for her role in True Detective: Night Country.
