Pakistan’s white-ball captain, Mohammad Rizwan, has expressed immense excitement about hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, marking a historic milestone for the cricket-loving nation. Rizwan emphasized the significance of this event as Pakistan prepares to welcome an ICC tournament to its shores after 28 years.
In a statement, Rizwan highlighted the team’s recent success in ODIs, attributing it to the support of the Almighty and viewing it as a perfect build-up to the mega-event. “We are all very excited to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Having done well in the ODIs recently adds to the excitement and build-up, and we eagerly look forward to playing in front of our home crowd and excelling in the eight-team tournament,” he remarked.

The tournament, featuring eight top-ranked teams, will take place from February 19 to March 9 across venues in Pakistan and Dubai, showcasing 15 thrilling 50-over matches.
