The Lanka T10 Points Table will follow the standard ICC T20 system, where each team is awarded 2 points for a win during the group stages. In case of a tie or no result during the group stage, both teams will receive 1 point each. The table will display each team’s matches played (M), wins (W), losses (L), ties (T), no results (NR), points (P), and net run rate (NRR) after every match.
Points System:
- Win: 2 points
- No Result or Tied: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
In case teams are tied on points, the Net Run Rate (NRR) will be used to determine their rankings on the points table.
Tournament Format:
The Lanka T10 2024 follows a dynamic and engaging tournament structure designed to maximize competition and entertainment in this fast-paced format:
Group Stage:
The six participating teams—Jaffna Titans, Hambantota Bangla Tigers, Kandy Bolts, Colombo Jaguars, Galle Marvels, and Nuwara Eliya Kings—will compete in a round-robin format. Each team plays against every other team once, completing a total of 15 matches in the group stage.
Qualification for Playoffs:
The top four teams from the group stage, based on their points and net run rate, will advance to the playoff stage, ensuring only the best-performing teams progress.
Playoff Stage:
The playoffs consist of two semi-finals. The winners of these high-stakes matches will face off in the final, where the inaugural Lanka T10 champion will be crowned.
Match Format:
Each match comprises 10 overs per side, lasting approximately 90 minutes, making it one of the shortest and most thrilling formats of cricket. The tournament’s fast pace and high-energy gameplay are designed to captivate fans and keep them on the edge of their seats.
