Sindh govt declares public holidays on December 25 and 26

The Sindh government has declared public holidays on December 25 and 26, marking significant occasions in the province. A notification issued by the provincial authorities announced December 25 as a holiday in all public offices to commemorate the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Additionally, December 26 has been declared a holiday exclusively for Christian employees to celebrate Christmas.

December 25, a day of national importance, is celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence across the country. The day will begin with gun salutes in federal and provincial capitals, followed by a ceremonial changing of the guards at the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi.

The nation will honor Jinnah’s remarkable political struggles and his pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan through official ceremonies and events planned nationwide.

Various social, political, and non-governmental organizations have also arranged special programmes to pay tribute to the Quaid’s life and legacy.
